This page explains which personal data are collected through this website, why, how long they are kept and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and the amended French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 (“Informatique et Libertés”).
Data controller
MG Art Consulting SAS, trading as “Artae Studio”, 71 B rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud, 75011 Paris, France. Contact: info@artaestudio.com.
Data collected, purposes and retention
Contact form
- Data: name and email address (required), phone number, project type and message (optional). Your name and email address are needed to reply to you; without them, we cannot process your request.
- How it works: the form stores nothing on this website. It opens your own email application with a message addressed to info@artaestudio.com, which you then send yourself.
- Purpose: to answer your request and discuss a possible project with you.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Ticking the box on the form confirms that you have read this policy.
- Retention: 3 years from our last exchange. If a project follows, data are kept for the duration of the relationship and for the periods required by law.
Event invitations
- Data: name, email address and your reply to the invitation.
- Source: you, when you give us your contact details, or the person who introduced you to us; if you are not a professional, that person must first have obtained your agreement to receive invitations from Artae Studio.
- Purpose: to invite you to exhibitions and events organised by Artae Studio and to manage replies.
- Legal basis: if you are a professional and the invitation relates to your activity, or if you are already a client, our legitimate interest in maintaining professional relationships; otherwise, your consent, given when you agreed to receive our invitations (Article L34-5 of the French Postal and Electronic Communications Code). You can object or withdraw your consent at any time, simply by replying to any invitation.
- Retention: 3 years from your last contact with us (for example a reply or a message), or until you object.
Your choice in the cookie banner
- Data: your choice (accept or decline) and its date, stored only in your own browser (local storage).
- Purpose: to remember your choice so that the banner is not shown again.
- Legal basis: exempt from consent under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, as this storage only serves to remember your choice (CNIL guidelines of 17 September 2020). Your choice is not sent to us or to any third party.
- Retention: 6 months, after which the banner is shown again. You can also delete your choice at any time by clearing this website’s data in your browser.
Hosting provider’s technical logs
- Data: IP address, date and time, pages viewed, browser type.
- Purpose: security and proper operation of the website.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.
- Retention: limited, set by the hosting provider (OVH).
Your data are never sold. They are not used for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.
Recipients
- The members of the Artae Studio team in charge of answering you.
- Our technical providers: OVH SAS (France), which hosts the website and the Artae Studio mailbox, and Google Ireland Limited (Gmail), which the team uses to read its messages.
Data hosting and transfers outside the EU
The website and the Artae Studio mailbox are hosted by OVH SAS in the European Union. Messages may also be read through Gmail, which may involve a transfer of data to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023; Google also relies on the Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
You can obtain more information on these safeguards by writing to info@artaestudio.com.
Cookies and trackers
- This website uses no advertising cookies and no social media trackers. The link to Instagram is a simple link: nothing is loaded from Instagram unless you click it.
- Fonts are hosted on this website: no request is sent to third-party services to display them.
- This website uses no audience measurement tool to date. If one is added, it will be named in this policy and, if it requires your consent, your consent will be asked again before it is activated.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to and restrict their processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You may also give instructions on what happens to your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to info@artaestudio.com. We will reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), the French data protection authority, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France (www.cnil.fr).
Security
The website is served over a secure connection (HTTPS) and access to messages is limited to the Artae Studio team. The contact form is not meant for confidential documents or sensitive information: please do not send any through it.
