Human First
PlaceWhitewall Projects, Paris
DatesOctober 2025

Presented in Paris during Art Basel Paris week, the exhibition HUMAN FIRST offers a sensitive reflection on the human condition through a dialogue between contemporary art, design and emotion. Bringing together international artists from different generations and disciplines, the exhibition explores notions of identity, memory, vulnerability and empathy, inviting visitors to reconsider humanity’s place in a constantly changing world.

In keeping with the curatorial projects developed by Marion Guggenheim and Nicolas Dewavrin, the exhibition forms part of an approach aimed at creating dialogues between the works, the spaces and contemporary issues.

The exhibition brings together works by Julian Farade, Dhewadi Hadjab, Jeremy Deller, Matthias Bitzer, Justine Neuberger, Victor Bengtsson, Trevor Shimizu, Ian J. Brown, Murray Clarke, Jan-Luka Schmitz, Shuo Hao, Théo Ouaki, Adélie Ducasse, Max Jahn, Talia Maidenberg, Clément Bataille, Renske Linders, Servane Mary, Blake Daniels, as well as designers and artists Frederik Molenschot, Gérard Coquelin and Kendell Geers.

Human First adopts a transdisciplinary approach, combining contemporary art, design, light and fragrance. Thanks to the collaboration with Flos, whose lighting creations contribute to the scenography, and with Diptyque, which enriches the experience with an olfactory dimension, HUMAN FIRST offers an immersive experience where the works engage in dialogue with light, space and the senses.
