Far from the classical tradition of the genre, the exhibition explored the narrative potential of things.

Still Lives, Still Stories took place in a 200 m² Haussmannian apartment in the heart of Le Marais, Paris. Curated by Marion Guggenheim and Nicolas Dewavrin, the exhibition brought together more than thirty international artists—historical and established figures from the contemporary scene and emerging voices—around a reinterpretation of the still life through the prism of the object, memory and narrative.

Far from the classical tradition of the genre, the exhibition explored the narrative potential of things: what they contain, what they conceal and what they reveal. Whether found, sculpted, assembled, repurposed or staged, the objects on display resisted silence. Displaced from their original function, they became vehicles of emotion, tension and interpretation, revealing the individual and collective histories they bear witness to.
