As part of the Unique Design X fair, held within Material Art Fair in Mexico City, Marion Guggenheim and Nicolas Dewavrin curated the installation « We All Talk To Our Own Gods » by Pandora Graessl.
Conceived as a collaborative sanctuary, this space brought together works by Sarah Valente, Clément Bataille, Romain Sarrot, Victoria Chávez Garcia, Laura Welker, Cara de Planta, María Fernanda Gerdes and Tuberosa, each contributing to an evolving altar where objects and artistic forms coexisted in a ritual and sensory dimension. Every element on display—whether sculpture, painting, object or installation—took part in a dynamic of exchange, inviting reflection on how humanity, across ages and cultures, seeks to establish a connection with the invisible.
At the crossroads of the visible and the invisible, the installation functioned as an energetic vessel, a bridge between worlds, where spirits were invoked and the sacred took shape in matter. As time passed, the altar transformed, absorbing its surrounding energies and giving rise to an ever-evolving narrative. This evolution reflected the impermanence of beliefs and their capacity to reinvent themselves according to context and personal experience.
Visitors were invited to wander through this living space, to discover its shifting rhythms and to feel the subtle interplay between the artworks, spirituality and the infinite. More than a simple exhibition, « We All Talk To Our Own Gods » was conceived as an invitation to contemplation, introspection and dialogue between past and present, between the tangible and the intangible. By bringing together diverse artistic sensibilities, the installation offered a collective reflection on the many ways of expressing the sacred, reminding us that, whatever their form or origin, beliefs and rituals shape a universal language—a shared attempt to converse with the unknown.
